Scott finished out the year with two hits in eight at-bats and one sacrifice fly to go .250 at the plate in 2009. Not only did Isbell collect time as a middle infielder at short and second, but he even had one stint as a relief pitcher for the Tigers against No. 16 Cal Poly on April 9. In that game, Scott was called upon in the top of the ninth, with the Tigers trailing by six runs. He limited the Mustangs to only one run, inducing two flyouts to keep the Tigers in the game, as they came back for two more runs in the bottom of the ninth and fell 12-7.<b>Previous School (Point Loma Nazarene University):</b><br>Isbell attended Point Loma Nazarene University, where he used his redshirt option for the 2008 season.<b>Previous School (San Diego CC):</b><br>A 2007 graduate of San Diego City College (SDCC), Scott earned two letters in baseball. During his final season at SDCC, Scott hit .260 with two home runs, 25 runs and 10 stolen bases.<b>High School:</b><br>Scott graduated from University of San Diego High School in 2005 and lettered two years in baseball under head coach Gary Remmiker alongside former Tiger Joey Centanni. As a senior, the Dons won the CIF championship the same year Isbell was named best defensive player.<b>Personal:</b><br>Scott Isbell was born in Newport Beach, Calif., and is the son of Max and Mary Lou Isbell. He has one sister, Laura (21). When not playing baseball, Scott loves to surf. In his second year at Pacific, he is a communication major who hopes to play baseball professionally, or secure a career in business.
